Four new postdocs at CML in 2018-19
CML welcomes four new postdocs during the 2018-19 academic year: Julian Yolles, Valeria Lovato, Anya Burgon, and Divna Monolova.
CML will be welcoming four new postdocs during the course of the 2018-19 academic year.
Julian Yolles completed his PhD at Harvard University and works on the literary and intellectual culture of the Latin East in the 12th and 13th centuries. He will be based at SDU from September 1, 2018.
Anya Burgon is finishing her PhD in the History of Art at Cambridge. Her project at CML combines art and intellectual history in exploring the view from above (“kataskopos”). She will begin at York on November 1, 2018.
Divna Manolova completed her PhD at CEU in Budapest and works on late Byzantine science and cosmology. She will be based at York from November 1, 2018.
Valeria Lovato completed her PhD at the universities of Turin and Lausanne, and comes to CML from January 2019 with external funding. Her project focuses on the Byzantine prince, patron and intellectual, Isaak Komnenos.
