At SAMF we are again delighted with the large number of applicants to our programmes

This year, 1272 applicants have been offered a place on one of SDU’s Business and Social Sciences study programmes. This is a smaller decrease of approx. 7 per cent compared to last year, which may be due to discontinued programmes and a campus in Slagelse where new students are no longer being admitted.

We have received a total of 5,528 applications to the University’s Business and Social Sciences programmes, and as in previous years there has been a great demand for study places.

At midnight on Friday 26 July 2024, more than 1272 prospective students were notified that they have a place on one of SDU’s Business and Social Sciences bachelor’s programmes.

- We are incredibly pleased that so many young people have applied to our programmes and that we can now offer many of them a study place at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences on our campuses in Esbjerg, Kolding, Odense and Sønderborg, says Hanne Søndergaard Birkmose, dean of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences at SDU.

New master’s programmes welcome new students

In 2024 the Faculty also introduces three new master’s programmes, namely Population Studies and two MSc programmes in Economics and Business Administration: Data Driven Business Development and Environmental Resource Management.

 - We are delighted with the interest in our new master’s programmes from both our own bachelor students and students outside SDU. In particular, we are experiencing positive interest from many international students. This fits well with our strategic objectives of educating graduates for a subsequent labour market and also shows that we have hit the mark, which we look forward to working further with, Hanne Søndergaard Birkmose explains.

Some places still available

Applicants who did not get a place on one of their first-choice programmes can still be enrolled on a programme with available places. The deadline to apply for programmes with vacant places is 6 August 2024.
