The Research unit of Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular surgery at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) and Odense University Hospital (OUH) excels in clinical, health economic, translational, and experimental research. The unit serves as the headquarters for the Cardiovascular Centre of Excellence (CAVAC) and is part of the Elite Centre for Individualised Treatment of Arterial Disease (CIMA), as well as the Odense Artery Biobank.
