The Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute (MMMI) was established in 1997 at the University of Southern Denmark and it currently accommodates more than 200 employees and 1500 students.
MMMI helped lead the way, pioneering robotics research in Denmark, by creating the foundation for the robotics cluster in Southern Denmark, which encompasses over 160 robotic technology companies. The Institute is behind several of the most successful spinouts to the cluster, such as Universal Robots and MiR.
At MMMI, we are dedicated to developing useable, intelligent, and autonomous systems by combining hardware and software, which contribute to solving current and future societal relevant challenges and issues. We therefore also collaborate very closely with the industry and place a high value on the exchange of knowledge between this and the academic world. Today, the institute is present in Odense and Sønderborg and is in the process of establishing itself in Vejle.
