Expectations for PhD students
Research
- Define and carry out a PhD project under supervision
- Develop own research profile (methodological, theme, etc.) in accordance with the research unit’s strategy
- Analytical abilities in specific research arears with a potential to form the research agenda in scientific communities
- Research articles and book chapters are published in registered series and are published in accordance with Bibliometric Research Indicator (BFI) lists, preferably as the first author in series and publishers on level 2 or 3
- Presence in national and international networks, research, research associations and Scientific debates with the potential to gain recognition in the field of research
- Experience in leading own research projects
- Experience with external financing strategies
Teaching
- Experience with teaching at different levels
- Experience with the supervision and examination of bachelor students
- Experience with the supervision of graduate students under the supervision of the principal supervisor
- Experience with course development and coordination
- Deliver working hours related to teaching as per agreement
Service to society
- Translate and disseminate research-based knowledge relevant to specific arears
- Take part in innovative research dissemination and outreach
- Establish a visible role in relevant research communities both nationally and internationally
Administration
- General administrative tasks on a department level (registering, budgeting, financial management, etc.)
Personal capacity
- Obligation to take part in the departments/units social and professional life with participation in meetings, seminars, PhD defences and other events in the department
- Nurture good working relationships with colleagues
- Motivation and ability to take part in scientific development
- Committed to career development
