Report from Nordic Forum for Design History 2018, Hönnunarsafn Íslands
The seminar was very successfully hosted by Iceland’s Design Museum on November 23, 2018. We had presentations from all five Nordic countries and 50 participants as audience, so this was a memorable event both for Icelandic design historians as well as for Nordic Forum. Warm thanks goes to the museum director, Sigríður Sigurjónsdóttir, for the perfect setting of the seminar, including food design by Icelandic designers.
At the seminar two changes in the board of Nordic Forum was announced:
Leena Svinhufvud, Designmuseo, Helsinki, is new representative for Finland after Susann Vihma, Prof. em., Aalto University.
Sigríður Sigurjónsdóttir, Hönnunarsafn Íslands, is new representative for Iceland after Harpa Þórsdóttir, Listasafn Íslands.
The board of Nordic Forum for Design History thanks Susann Vihma and Harpa Þórsdóttir for their engagement. Especially Prof. Vihma has been part of the development of the forum since its early days.
