The Faculty of Engineering generated knowledge is available to companies and institutions through commercial cooperation of projects between researchers and professors. The general requirement is that the current task of the company or institution wishes to resolve can fit the competencies and interests found in the faculty.
The cooperation between the parties is agreed on either in the form of a research contract or a consultant task.
The rights to the generated results and knowledge are thus divided between the parties depending on the level of contribution and cooperation of each party. Prior to work, a written cooperation agreement is created, including a brief description of the task, schedule and budget. Before the agreement is signed, both parties' expectations need to be matched via numerous meetings and open dialogues
