The SDU eScience Center offers new platform for research data analysis
The SDU eScience Center is offering a wider selection of services for researchers at all faculties. Together with traditional HPC facilities, the new services include a unique and innovative digital research environment, called UCloud, which is now the recommended platform at SDU for research data analysis.
Together with traditional HPC facilities, the new services include a unique and innovative digital research environment, called UCloud, which is now the recommended platform at SDU for research data analysis.
UCloud is specifically built to support the needs of researchers for both computing and data management. It is designed to be user-friendly with an intuitive graphical interface, accessible via the web.
UCloud is flexible and can accommodate new demands from research groups, by using state-of-the-art technology. UCloud is a highly secure platform for research data suitable for sensitive data analysis in compliance with GDPR regulations, with a formal ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification.
Packed with features designed for research workflows, the mission of UCloud is to make complex digital technology accessible to all researchers. Here are some of the functionalities UCloud provides:
- Share & Collaborate with Secure Storage
UCloud enables researchers to collaborate on datasets by sharing with all members of their team, without compromising security. Large research datasets can be stored in UCloud.
- Interactive Supercomputing for All
The intuitive graphical interface gives you access to powerful, interactive high-performance computing, data analytics and visualization tools. The platform also supports cloud-like services such as web-based dashboards. UCloud offers an “Apps” section preloaded with popular applications; more can be customized on-demand. Simple or complex applications can be deployed with a few clicks via an intuitive user interface.
Since this is cutting-edge technology it starts with you today. For a detailed guide of UCloud, with introductory videos for new users, click here docs.cloud.sdu.dk.
