SDU BSS welcomes more than 1300 new students
This year, 1375 applicants have been offered a student place on one of SDU’s business and social sciences study programmes. This is an increase of 3 percent compared with last year.
At midnight on Friday 28 July 2023, 1375 prospective students were informed that they have been admitted to a student place on one of SDU’s 16 bachelor’s programmes in business and social sciences.
This is an increase of 3 percent compared with 2022.
- We are delighted that we can offer so many young people a student place at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences – and that there has been so much interest in our programmes, says Peter Møllgaard, dean of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences at SDU.
A total of 5690 applicants have applied for the University’s business and social sciences programmes, and there has therefore been a great demand for study places.
Ready with a new law programme
SDU’s new law programme in Esbjerg has seen a huge amount of interest, with 434 applications for a total of 50 student places.
- It is encouraging that the new law programme has got off to such a good start. We have been working on developing the programme for the past year and a half, and we are now very much looking forward to welcoming the new students to this year’s study start, says Peter Møllgaard.
He is also pleased that the student places on the majority Faculty’s study programmes are at full capacity, and work is now underway to create a good start for the many new students.
Some student places still available
Applicants who did not get a student place on one of their first-choice programmes can still be enrolled on a programme with available places. The deadline to apply for programmes with vacant places is 6 August 2023.
