Over 5500 young people want to study at SDU BSS
A total of 5690 young people have applied to one of SDU’s business and social sciences programmes, and 1610 have listed the programmes as their first priority. This is an increase of 20 and 12 percent, respectively, compared with last year and more than the number of applicants in 2021.
The deadline for applying to a higher education programme has just expired, and this year 5690 applicants have chosen one of SDU’s 16 bachelor programmes in business and social sciences. That is 20 percent more applicants than in 2022.
There is also an increase in the number of applicants who have put a business and social sciences programme at SDU at the top of their list. This year, the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences has received 1610 first priority applications, which is an increase of 12 percent compared with last year.
Great interest in several cities – and new law programme in Esbjerg off to a good start
SDU’s new law programme in Esbjerg has got off to a flying start with 434 applications in total. The programme will open its doors to 50 students in September.
The programmes at SDU Sønderborg are also in great demand. A total of 1076 young people have applied to study Economics and Business Administration and European Studies in Sønderborg, which amounts to 58 percent more applications than last year.
One programme that has seen a surge of applications is Political Science in Odense, with 417 applications for admission, which is an increase of 21 percent. Not only that, but a huge increase of 85 percent of applicants have listed Political Science at SDU as their first priority.
Finally, the English-language programme Market and Management Antrophology, which is also offered in Odense, has received 481 applications, which is 32 percent more than last year.
