Danish Cancer Society (KB - Kræftens Bekæmpelse)

As the name implies, the Danish Cancer Society supports research projects focused on cancer. The funded projects cover all aspects of the disease, from the basic researchers into the cause of the disease, over clinical aspects and pursuit of better treatments, and patient care at the stage of recovery after treatment.

The foundation offers a range of funding instruments. It supports the young talents through postdoctoral fellowship and a starting grant. It also offers a research project grant for new avenues within cancer research. Each year, a set of specific topics are funded by donations to the foundation through a national fundraising week, Knæk Cancer.
