SDU offers to support the projects listed below. If you are interested, we will provide you support for writing a MSCA application. 


 

It is mandatory to use the Application Form  - To be sent to ert@sdu.dk with supporting documents not later then 15 May (12:00 CET) 2023
Early Bird cut off: 1 May (12:00 CET) 2023 – which will enable you to participate in the SDU MSCA Masterclass 8 May 2023. 
Applicants will be selected by May 25, 2023, and be notified by email.

Phenomenology of Quantum Gravity

It is a critical challenge to connect quantum gravity theories to observations. The aim of this project is to do and explore the imprints of quantum gravity in experimental data, most importantly in particle physics and in black holes.

Black Holes in Their Natural Habitat

In brief:

Possible projects are available in GRMHD simulations of single and binary black holes, (polarized) radiative transfer / ray tracing of the former, model fitting in a VLBI context (mostly Bayesian methods), and gravitational wave source modeling with the tools of numerical relativity. Projects beyond Einstein’s theory of gravity are also possible.

Understanding Nature’s Spearhead Enzymes for Biomass Waste Upcycling

Our hypothesis in this project is that the LPMO mechanism has remained elusive because existing theoretical studies considered too few LPMO families and lacked an accurate theoretical methodol-ogy. The project will therefore develop new electronic structure methods for metalloproteins.
