Local collaboration

The Research Unit collaborates with the Research Unit of General Practice on research related to infections and antibiotic treatment.
We work closely together with BML in various projects where animal infection models are used.
Research collaboration on urinary tract infections.
The Research Unit has an especially close collaboration with RUMM including joint research meetings and research projects where RUMM helps shed light on and describe observations and issues from clinical microbiology.
We collaborate with GlyProVac on the development of urinary tract infection vaccines.
We collaborate in the European Union funded project TELEGRAFT on the development of biomimetic and antibacterial vascular grafts.
Close collaboration in the Clinical Center for Vector borne infections where we do both diagnostics and conduct research related to tick borne infections. 
The Research Unit has a large field of shared interests with BMB, especially in the microbiological field. This has resulted in several research collaboration projects over the years.

The Research Unit has active collaborations with various clinical and paraclinical departments in OUH, where clinical issues are investigated with a focus on microbiology, diagnostics or treatment.
