Collaboration with municipalities
The Unit for Health Promotion Research has a long tradition on collaborating with the municipalities on the development of local health profiles and health policies. We also plan specific health interventions and research in projects and establish collaboration across sectors to create coherent developments for citizens with aphasia, and with dementia (‘Living with Dementia’ LIDEM) and foster well-being and community in projects on senior neighbourhoods.
Furthermore, the Unit conducts planning and development of health promoting efforts on the labour market, schools, and day care centres locally, and civil society in general. The research collaborations are the mainstay behind the work initiatives, involvement of citizens and empowerment processes as well as on how to embed efforts and the make sustainability possibilities.
