A new CEI initiated and led project ‘DanRETwin: A Digital Twin solution for optimal energy retrofit decision-making and decarbonization of the Danish building stock’ (EUDP project) was kicked off
A new research project titled ´DanRETwin: A Digital Twin solution for optimal energy retrofit decision-making and decarbonization of the Danish building stock´ was kicked off with a meeting held at SDU Odense Campus on April 18th, 2023, where all project partners attended.
The project is financed by EUDP with a total budget of 6,41 mio. DKK. The project is carried out as a collaborative project between SDU Center for Energy Informatics at University of Southern Denmark, ReMoni A/S, and Aarhus Municipality, and with the Danish Energy Agency as a collaborator.
The project will design and develop the first-of-its kind Digital Twin solution (DanRETwin) for optimal energy retrofit decision-making support, retro-commissioning, and data-driven performance optimization of non-residential existing buildings. The proposed Digital Twin solution will first be tested at SDU living lab OU44 building, and then will be demonstrated and evaluated in two case studies from Aarhus Municipality portfolio of buildings.
Associate Professor Muhyiddine Jradi from SDU CEI is the Principal Investigator of the DanRETwin project.
