Event on Energy Efficiency and flexibility
November 23rd Dansk Energi - Intelligent Energi and Center for Energy Informatics had a joint event on energy efficiency and flexibility in large buildings.
The main topic of the event was energy consumption i buildings and the questions raised were: How can energy consumption be reduced due to buildings using around 38% of Denmark’s energy consumption? And how can energy consumption i buildings be more flexible due more sustainable energy sources?
The event addressed two subtopics performance tests and energy flexible buildings.
The topic of performance tests was opened by Thomas Rysgaard Jacobsen from the Danish Building and Property Agency who talked about their experience with performance tests. After that Assistant Professor Muhyiddine Jradi and PhD student Elena Markoska from Center for Energy informatics went on to talking about their research on automated performance testing within the COORDICY project. After this there was a tour of OU44 a new building for teaching at University of Southern Denmark fitted with various measuring equipment and functioning as a living lab for the research in Center for Energy Informatics among others the COORDICY project.
After lunch the topic was intelligent and energy flexible buildings. First off was Richard Schalburg from Dansk Energi who introduced the audience to the new building directive. After that Post Doc Krzysztof Arendt and PhD student Fisayo Sanagogboye talked about their research on intelligent control of buildings conducted under the COORDICY project and Associate professor Mikkel Baun Kjærgaard talked about experience with screening and control of buildings
