Smart City Odense

The Municipality of Odense has a project by the name of  "Smart City". The purpose of the project is to enhance the cities infrastructure by collecting digital data. The software engineering students has worked on this project as part for the practical part of their education.

Associate professor Mikkel Baun Kjærgaard from Center for Energy Informatics explains: Through the coorporation on "Smart Odense Data Apps" the students have used methods learned through their education to come up with suggestions on how collected data and present apps can be improved.

The completion of the student projects was marked with a visit to Odense Castle where representatives from the Municipality were present and listened to the students presenting their suggestions for solutions.

There was great credit to the students and council member Jane Jegind pointed out that the student apps were both relevant and realistic.
