A new CEI initiated and led project ‘Twin4Build - A holistic Digital Twin platform for decision-making support over the whole building life cycle’ (EUDP project) was kicked off
A new research project titled ´Twin4Build - A holistic Digital Twin platform for decision-making support over the whole building life cycle´ was kicked off with a hybrid meeting held at SDU Odense Campus on October 12th, 2021, where all project partners attended.
The project is financed by EUDP with a total budget of 11,82 mio. DKK. The project is carried out as a collaborative project between SDU Center for Energy Informatics at University of Southern Denmark, COWI A/S DK and NO, KMD A/S, Aarhus Municipality and NEC Laboratories Europe GmbH. The project will develop a holistic Digital Twin platform allowing coordinated decision support over the whole building life cycle. The platform replaces the traditional static BIM with a living operational model combining flexible and adaptable dynamic energy models and real-time building data. Demonstration of the solution will be done through case studies conducted on three buildings of different character: the SDU Live-Lab campus building OU44, Dokk1 on Aarhus harbour and a hospital building in Bergen Norway.
Associate Professor Muhyiddine Jradi from SDU CEI is the Principal Investigator of the Twin4Build project.
