Introduction to Machine Learning is a 4-hour course.

What you will learn

  • How to devise a basic machine learning algorithm to solve a supervised learning task
  • How to implement the algorithm on the computer using a programming language
  • How to evaluate the success of the algorithm at solving the target task

  • Assess the potential of using cutting-edge AI technologies in your existing and future operations
  • Improve your literacy to follow the recent advances in the field and make more informed decisions about how to integrate them into your business

Your profile

The course is primarily aimed at managers and employees in IT departments.

The participants must have skills in calculus at least at bachelor level. Basic skills in programming are also an advantage.

The course introduces the fundamental concepts of cybersecurity and illustrates which measures companies, public sector entities, and individuals can take to increase their cybersecurity stance.

Examples of security breaches at companies and public sector entities will be used to illustrate the threat landscape and how attacks are performed in practice. For these attacks appropriate protection measures will be discussed.

The course is taught in English.

The course is held on demand.
The course is taught by Associate Professor Peter Mayer, who researches a wide range of issues in cybersecurity, ranging from effective awareness materials to supply chain security.
