An online workshop led by Rita Felski and hosted by the Center for Uses of Literature, University of Southern Denmark
Friday November 10 and Saturday November 11, 2023
This online workshop, led by Rita Felski, will explore a variety of methods and approaches that are often gathered under the general rubric of postcritique. Its aim is to provide an opportunity for intellectual engagement, intensive conversation, and feedback on research projects and to offer a point of connection for scholars who are separated from each other geographically but who share similar intellectual interests and commitments.
The workshop will meet online for five hours on two consecutive days, with two short breaks, to discuss pre-circulated papers. As well as getting feedback on their own work, participants are expected to read and respond to the papers of the other participants and to take part in the full session for that day. (They are also welcome to log on for the second day of the workshop if they wish.) The exact times of the meetings will be decided later, after factoring in the geographical locations of participants.
If you are interested in participating, please send the writing sample that you’d like to circulate for discussion to Rita Felski (ritafelski@gmail.com) by June 15, along with a cv. The sample should be no longer than eight thousand words and can be part of a dissertation chapter, a book chapter, or the draft of an article. You’ll be notified of any available spaces by August 1.
