The unit's research groups are led by six professors and three associate professors, along with two affiliated professors from the Department of Molecular Medicine.

The Neurological Research Unit at OUH is an active research unit with internationally recognized research in areas including epilepsy, cerebrovascular diseases, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, autoimmune encephalitis, peripheral neuropathies, neuropathic pain, and neuroepidemiology.
