The Research Unit for Digital Psychiatry develops and tests digital solutions for use in the treatment of psychiatric disorders. In particular, we study the effectiveness, risk of negative effects and implementation of digital technologies for treating anxiety, depression, eating disorders, drug- and alcohol addictions and behavioural addictions. The technologies we study presently are, mobile applications, Internet-based treatments, video consultations, virtual reality and sensor technology, and artificial intelligence. By utilising these technologies in an effective and safe manner, we aim to develop more accessible and flexible treatments
The Research Unit for Digital Psychiatry is part of the Centre for Digital Psychiatry in the University Hospital of Southern Denmark and of the Department of Clinical Research at the University of Southern Denmark.
