Spike in quota 2 applications
SDU is again seeing a rise in the number of quota 2 applicants and applications this year. The positive development can be seen across all five faculties, and now all applicants will have to take an admission test.
In 2021, SDU is enjoying yet another spike in the number of quota 2 applicants. By the application deadline 9,411 people had applied for one of SDU's programmes, topping last year’s record of 8,498 applicants by 11%.
A total of 14,140 applications have been received, which is an increase of 17% compared to 2020. Among the applicants, 4,144 have chosen a course of study at SDU as their first priority. That’s a 3% rise compared to 2020.
The Master's degree programmes are seeing a similar pattern. 9,754 have applied, compared to 8,872 in 2020. That’s an increase of 10%.
Test-based admission set to begin
The next step for the education aspirants for the Bachelor programmes at SDU is the uniTEST, which will happen online again this year due to the corona restrictions. UniTEST is held between 23 March – 2 May. The applicants will then be invited to subject-specific activities and programme tests.
