You can see which study activities were preapproved for your individual education in your PhD plan in the PhDWeb portal at https://phdweb.sdu.dk/
Please do the following to apply for exemption:
- Go to the PhD school website with forms and guidelines at https://www.sdu.dk/en/forskning/phd/phd_skoler/phdtek/phdstudietsforloebindhold/ansoegningsskemaer
- Find the relevant application form regarding exemption from either course activities, change of research environment or knowledge dissemination under the headline "Forms regarding the PhD study".
- Fill in the form with all the required information and include appendices if required in the form (e.g. course official description) - if you have already performed the activity, please also include documentation for this.
- Send in one collective pdf file to phd@tek.sdu.dk for processing.
You do not need to apply for exemption, if you wish to attend another 3 ECTS conference activity than what was approved in the PhD plan.
The PhD committee processes applications for exemption. In certain cases the PhD committee may grant exemption from its internal rules for the PhD study. The committee cannot grant exemption from the rules laid down in the ministerial order. Uncomplicated applications are processed in hearings.
