‘Lung cancer and artificial intelligence’

Margrethe Høstgaard Bang Henriksen from Sygehus Lillebælt for Oncological Department, Vejle

In the project, artificial intelligence is included as a measure to help detect lung cancer in an earlier stage. Each year 4.700 Danes are diagnosed with lung cancer, and after five years with the disease 50 per cent have died. The scientist hopes that she with the help from statistics can analyze a vast amount of data to make out which type of patterns, characteristics and risk factors we need to pay attention to before the disease erupts.
