Ali J. M. Jamil receives a New Investigator Award provided by the European Calcified Tissue Society
At this year's ECTS several of our researchers received awards for their scientific work, among them PhD student Ali Jamil
PhD student Ali Jamil was selected to present his project during the 50th European Calcified Tissue Society (ECTS) congress at Liverpool, UK and was awarded an ECTS New Investigator Award for his scientific work. Ali is investigating the capacity of several skeletal progenitor cell subpopulations residing within the bone marrow cavity and trying to establish a proper strategy for the isolation of specific subpopulations. The goal is to enrich the pool of stem cells for those with the highest bone forming capacity and help regenerate the bones of patients with delayed- or non-union fractures.
