Methods

The researchers and clinicians at ODIN has experience within a wide range of different study designs and methods within clinical, translational and basic research. 

Within the field of clinical research, the research being performed encompass all major study designs including systematic reviews, metaanalysis, randomized clinical trials, pro- / retrospective cohort studies, pharmaepidemiologic studies, qualitative studies and case series

Facilities

In the research unit we have access to the following equipment and measurements:

  • Bodypletysmography
  • Diffusing capacity for carbon monoxide (DLCO)
  • Spirometry
  • FeNO.
  • Methacoline provocation
  • Cardiopulmonary function test
  • Impulse Oscillomerti( IOS)
  • Area for performing 6-minute walk test
  • Sputum processing for total cell count and viability
  • ECG
  • Blood tests
  • Thoracic ultrasound
  • Conventional bronchoscopy
  • Endobronchial ultrasound examinations
  • Freezer storage capacity (-20 / -80 degrees)
