My primary research interests are in freshwater ecology and climate adaptationas well as the quality of nature and the environmental. A large part of my research is about how the discharge of water and substances to the aquatic environment from the cities via the rainwater and from the cultivated areas via diffuse runoff affects the environment as well as the development of environmentally efficient methods to purify the water and limit the discharge.
Climate change means that both cities and the open country must adapt to the climate, which requires knowledge and the development of new methods. In addition, I work more broadly within lakes and streams, among other things lake restoration, studies of re-established or newly established lakes, and watercourse quality as well as research within wetlands, buffer zones and wet meadows.
I often work closely with external partners from i.a. municipalities and consultants.
