Vaccine research nominated as Danish Research Result of the Year
The research result "Vaccine against measles, mumps and rubella also protects against diarrhoea and otitis" is among the nominated as Danish Research Result of the Year by Videnskab.dk. OPEN's Professor Christine Stabell Benn is the head of the research group behind this discovery, OPEN's Associate Professor Henrik Ravn is also part of the group.
New research shows that Denmark may reduce the amount of children hospitalized for ordinary infections, if more received the measles vaccine in time. Worldwide millions of lives may be saved.
