My background combines experiences in material science, cellular biology and project management in industry in France and abroad. I obtained an Engineering degree in chemistry and material science (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Lille) in 2013 and I worked in the industry as project manager in charge of product development and technical marketing for 4 years. Then I completed a Master’s degree in biomedical engineering (Paris Descartes University) followed by a PhD in the BioTis laboratory, that I defended end of 2023 (Bordeaux University). The aim of my PhD project was to set up imaging and laser capture microdissection techniques, which then allowed us to study how osteocyte and blood vessel networks evolve during cortical bone maturation, aging and regeneration. I also spent 11 months studying osteocyte energy metabolism at the Indiana University, USA.
I joined KMEB as a postdoctoral researcher in September 2024. My focus in the Rauch group is to investigate the metabolic reprogramming of stromal cells upon exposure to glucocorticoids. I am also involved in the study of bone marrow adipocyte expansion under different diets and its impact on bone health.
Apart from science, I like outdoor adventures such as hiking and camping. I also like to share discussions over a good dinner, and I try to find a dance studio wherever I go!
