The Computational Biology research group was established in October 2012 at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. It emerged from the Computational Systems Biology group, founded in March 2010 at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics.
Jan Baumbach moved to the Technical University of Munich as of 1 December 2018, but continues to co-supervise PhD students at SDU.
