Christoffer Boström earned a Master's of Science and PhD in Environmental and Marine Biology from Åbo Akademi. He worked for the Academy of Finland as a postdoctoral researcher before returning to Åbo Akademi as a lecturer and associate professor.
He brings more than 15 years of experience in work in coastal marine ecosystems, particularly seagrass ecology. He is involved in restoration of coastal ecosystems in relation to current pressures along European coasts and different aspects of seascape ecology in vegetated coastal habitats, including saltmarshes.
