Each research seminar contains one or more presentations by FNUG's own researchers or by researchers invited from outside. Master's students can also be presenters, and there will typically be two or three presentations on which the discussions are based. FNUG Foundations is based on articles that the participants have read in advance and which we discuss at the seminar. Read more about FNUG Foundations here.

We will discuss the concept of "Playworlds" in relation to learning environments for preschool children, based on two texts.
- "Scientific Playworlds: a Model of Teaching Science in Play-Based Setting" by Marilyn Fleer.
- "Young children's mathematical problem solving and thinking in a playworld" by Liang Li and Leigh Disney.

FNUG Research Seminar, where Ph.D. student Karen Bollingberg will present her ongoing work with the project.
Following the presentation, there will be a poster session, where students and researchers will produce and present posters on their current work, results, insights, and more.

Based on the article "Dramatic Science. A Critical Review of Drama in Science Education" by Marianne Ødegaard, Professor of Science Education at the "Department of Teacher Education and School Research" at the University of Oslo, we will discuss how the use of drama and theater activities – in a well-considered manner and guided by reflective science teachers – can create empowering learning environments and thus meaningful learning experiences for students.
