In particular, we are responsible for the Ophthalmology course for medical candidates at SDU (K9) and the national course in medical retinal diseases for ophthalmologists in training (HK7).
Interactive learning
We are currently developing interactive virtual ocular learning programs that enables training for ophthalmologists and other health care providers in diabetic retinopathy (VIOLA), age-related macular degeneration (VILMA-AMD), glaucoma (VILMA-GLAUCOMA), and other retinal disease (VIOLA-RETINA).So far, VIOLA (https://medicalrobotics.tek.sdu.dk/viola/d/viola) has been implemented nationally and internationally with more than 500 users, and the VILMA-platforms are currently in development.
